Lineups and LIVE updates for Real Madrid vs. Cadiz

On Thursday, Real Madrid will host Cadiz at the Santiago Bernabeu, hoping to close the gap on La Liga leaders Barcelona.

Real Madrid will look to rebound from their first league defeat of the season when they host relegation-threatened Cadiz at the Santiago Bernabeu on Thursday.

Los Blancos were defeated 3-2 by Rayo Vallecano in what was a well-deserved victory for the hosts, who dominated the game against the reigning Spanish champions.

As a result of the result, Real Madrid has fallen two points behind league leader Barcelona in the La Liga table. They have only won one of their last four games in all competitions, a 5-1 thrashing of Celtic in the Champions League, and will look to get back on track against Cadiz.

Cadiz, on the other hand, is currently second from bottom in the league table, struggling to cope with the rigours of the top flight after surviving on a knife-edge last season.
The visitors, who were held to a 0-0 draw by Getafe over the weekend, are only in the relegation zone due to a lower goal difference and can climb out of it if they win this game.

They will, however, have their work cut out for them against a Real Madrid team eager to get the job done here.

Lineups for Real Madrid vs. Cadiz have been confirmed.
Courtois; Vazquez, Militao, Alaba, Mendy; Modric, Tchouameni, Kroos; Valverde, Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr.

Ledesma; Carcelen, Fali, Cala, Espino; Alejo, Alcarez, Fede, Sobrino; Alex, Lozano
