IND vs PAK: Venkat Prabhu reacts as Ravichandran Ashwin recreates a scene from the film Chennai 28.
Ravichandran Ashwin of Team India was applauded all over the world after he brilliantly left a ball going down the leg stump that was adjudged wide.
Team India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin showed the world a glimpse of his incredible cricketing sense by holding his nerve and guiding his side to a four-wicket victory over Pakistan on Sunday.
The match was decided by the last ball, but before that, an incident occurred that prompted a reaction from Chennai 28 director Venkat Prabhu, as Ashwin recreated a scene from his film as India defeated Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2022 clash.
The Tamil director was overjoyed when Ashwin cleverly left a delivery going down the leg stump, which was ultimately adjudged wide as India needed two runs to win.

A similar incident was depicted in the film Chennai 28, where the character moved towards the stump to widen the ball.
After coming in the middle to join Virat Kohli, Ashwin unintentionally recreated the scene in real life, with India needing 2 runs to win on 1 ball. He cleverly left Mohammad Nawaz’s delivery and it went wide.
Ashwin’s presence of mind in such a high-pressure situation astounded not only Director Venkat Prabhu, but the entire nation.
